The San Antonio Rampage celebrates its 14th season in 2015-16 and serves as the top American Hockey League affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche. The Rampage will serve the top affiliate of the Avalanche for the next five years. San Antonio is owned by the NBA's San Antonio Spurs and play at the AT&T Center. The Rampage are one of 30 AHL teams competing for the Calder Cup, and over the course of a 76-game schedule, will face 14 different opponents. San Antonio annually ranks as one of the AHL's top teams in attendance, having placed among the top seven in the league for each of the last five seasons.
The Silver and Black drew and average of 6,579 fans per game for the 2014-15 campaign, which ranked seventh in the American Hockey League. In operation since 1936, the American Hockey League continues to serve as the top development league for the players, coaches, managers, executives, broadcasters and staff of all 30 National Hockey League teams. More than 88 percent of today's NHL players are American Hockey League graduates.
